⚠️ Lake Okeechobee Boating Advisory ⚠️

With current water levels at 10.93 ft, it is critical that all boaters stay inside the marked channels.

Even running just outside or alongside channel markers can put you in water that may drop to 2 feet or less, increasing your risk of grounding.

🔹 Stay between channel markers at all times
🔹 Navigate carefully and use visual markers whenever possible
🔹 Remember: GPS and navigation apps are aids only — they do not provide real-time depth changes or hazards

Conditions on the lake can change quickly, and what was safe yesterday may not be safe today.

📞 If you need the most accurate, up-to-date information or assistance planning your route, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re here to help you navigate safely in and around Lake Okeechobee. 863-447-4470

TowBoatUS Lake Okeechobee Assistance

Today our team assisted a 24’ Pathfinder that had run aground in approximately 6 inches of water. Due to the extremely shallow conditions, we deployed our airboat to safely access the vessel.

Using precision and care, we were able to successfully free the boat and towed it back to deeper water, approximately 300–400 yards away, restoring safe navigation for the operator.

Shallow water conditions around Lake Okeechobee can change quickly—always navigate cautiously and know your surroundings.

⚠️Boater Safety Alert – Low Water Levels on Lake Okeechobee ⚠️
Due to significantly low water levels on Lake Okeechobee, Okeechobee County is urging all boaters to use extreme caution at every public and private boat ramp throughout the county.
Low water conditions can create hidden hazards such as exposed debris, shallow areas, and unsafe launching conditions. Boaters may also experience difficulty navigating channels that are normally passable.

What to Keep in Mind:
-Proceed slowly when launching and navigating
-Watch for exposed objects and shallow areas
-Use marked channels whenever possible-
-Be prepared for changing conditions at ramps

Your safety is our priority. We appreciate your cooperation and encourage everyone to stay alert while enjoying the water. Updates will be shared as conditions change.
Stay safe on the water, Okeechobee County.
