This was a real bright spot in our day. Sure made our day

What a fine man!

Brief stay in Montrose heading east pulling a 5th wheel. Brakes seem to be failing. No idea where to go and seek immediate help. Stopped at various shops and no one had a moment to consider helping me. I explained my distraught situation and asked the 4th place who/where I could/should go and seek the help needed. The person answered by saying ‘the only person in town he would trust to help and do a good job was Ron’s Automotive’. Then he followed by saying ‘but I didn’t tell you that’. Obviously a competitor referring business that wasn’t his to refer. I get that.

Needless to say I hustled straight to Ron’s and was directed to speak with Ron. It was apparent he didn’t have time to be friendly - but he was! He even took time to look at the brakes and drove the truck and suggested I needed to replace as I must have overheated the pads thru a pass or whatever. Those brakes had been on that 3500 HD for 107,000 miles. Next for me was to explain is I was scheduled to vacate the RV park the next morning to head east. At 3:30pm that was a problem. But Ron took the matter into his own hands and determined he could locate and have parts delivered over night and available early next morning.

UNBELIEVABLE !!

Now as a happy camper I want to share with any reader the quality of person Ron was to the wife and me and the fairness in price and service he presented to our situation. Mind you, after 4 others wouldn’t entertain my quest.



It takes a Good Samaritan to aid and rescue a stranded traveler. Such is the case with Ron Reed at Ron’s Automotive, Montrose, Co.

I recommend to all comers, Ron’s Automotive.

Good morning Montrose,
During this time we just wanted. To let everyone know we are open and here to assist you with your auto repair needs. We can do pick up and drop offs as well. There is also an outside key drop for you car keys if you would rather not come inside the waiting room. We are doing regular sanitizing of any surface that you may come in contact with.
