Timing chain gasket and water pump after the customer tried some DIY that left his driveway soaked.

If your brakes are squealing; get them done, if your breaks are grinding, stop driving the vehicle until you get them taken care of. People will regularly put off a 400$ pad slap until it becomes pads rotors and calipers which usually will costs over a thousand dollars... it just doesnt make sense; but i understand. Happy this individual got home after he lost all brake pedal.

As long as the weather keeps holding out and my wife doesn't, we're in good standing. YES we can do your timing, trust me, youd rather pay for us to do it than pay the consequences of not doing it in time (engine replacement)

An estimated 95% to 99% of gasoline and diesel cars on the road in 2026 feature an interference engine design; If the timing breaks in an interference engine, the inside of your engine smashes itself to pieces instantly.

You should change your car's timing belt every 60,000 to 100,000 miles, or every 5 to 10 years: Timing chains typically last between 100,000 and 150,000 miles, or longer, provided the engine receives regular oil changes.

If your engine is an interference design, a broken timing chain/belt usually results in catastrophic mechanical failure with repair costs ranging from $3,000 to $7,000+.

On average, a preventive timing belt service costs between $500 and $1,200, while a timing chain service costs between $1,600 and $2,700. The vast price difference comes down to engine design and complexity. Chains are located inside the engine and bathed in engine oil, requiring extensive teardown labor, where as rubber belts sit on the outside of the engine under a simpler plastic cover.

In the past 6 months we have gotten calls for 9 "no-start" situations where we had to inform the customer their timing had broken, its truly the worst news I can give a customer.
