⚾🏆 In case you missed it, here's a look back at the inaugural Hyundai-Kia Softball Classic!

The Hyundai Heavy Hitters claimed a 27-16 victory over the Kia Telluride Titans, but the day was about much more than the score. Great competition, family fun, teamwork, and lasting memories made this event one to remember.

Thanks again to everyone who joined us and helped make this event such a tremendous success. We look forward to building on this new tradition for years to come.

⚾🏆 The Hyundai Heavy Hitters brought home the win! 🏆⚾

Hundreds of Hyundai and Kia Team Members, family members, and friends came out to DABOS Park in Montgomery for the inaugural Hyundai-Kia Softball Classic on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

This friendly softball game pitted the Hyundai Heavy Hitters from HMMA against the Kia Telluride Titans from Kia Georgia (KaGA), bringing Team Members, family members, and guests together for a day of competition, camaraderie, and family entertainment. When the final out was recorded, the Hyundai Heavy Hitters earned a 27-16 victory and became the first champions in Hyundai-Kia Softball Classic history.

From great plays on the field to a postgame movie and fireworks display, the event was a memorable celebration of teamwork, friendly competition, and company pride.

A special thank you to our friends at Kia Georgia for making the trip to Montgomery and helping make this inaugural event such a tremendous success. We look forward to many more great matchups in the years ahead!

🚒 Supporting our community goes beyond building vehicles.

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) periodically hosts vehicle extrication training exercises with local first responders, including Montgomery Fire Rescue. Using donated unsellable test units that would otherwise be scrapped, firefighters gain hands-on experience practicing cutting, spreading and stabilization techniques in realistic rescue scenarios.

We're proud to support the training and preparedness efforts that help keep our communities safe.

🎨🚒 Creativity Promoting Safety!
This week, HMMA's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team hosted the Children's Fire Safety Poster Contest Awards Ceremony, celebrating the creativity and safety awareness of 23 participating children from HMMA families.

Open to Team Members and their families, the contest encouraged children to learn and share basic fire-safety principles through creative expression while reinforcing fire-prevention awareness and education across the HMMA community. Entries were judged by HMMA leadership.

Congratulations to Edward Ko, son of Stamping Team Member Yongjin Ko, for being named the contest's Overall Winner!
The event also featured special guests from the Montgomery Fire Department, who brought a fire truck for children to explore. HMMA's EHS team further engaged participants with a hands-on fire extinguisher demonstration, helping bring important fire-safety lessons to life.

Thank you to all 23 participants for using their creativity to help promote a culture of safety for HMMA Team Members and families.
