Just wrapped a shower redo out in Marshall this week, and it reminded me of something I tell every bathroom client: the tile going up is the middle of the job, not the end. Day two was the follow-up — checking the grout color against the sample at the tile shop, making sure the door seals sit right, catching the little stuff while it's still easy to fix. Grout looks different wet than it does dry, and it looks different under your bathroom light than under the store's fluorescents, so we checked it both ways before calling it good. That extra half-day is the difference between a shower that looks right today and one that still looks right in five years. Ask your contractor what's on their follow-up list before they start — if the answer is 'nothing,' that's your answer about the contractor too. — JB 📞 (571) 298-5464 · jbcustommontclair.com · [email protected] · Free estimates
