Remember what I said the last trip about not catching many sheephead and silver bass??? Yeah, well we made up for that and then some today 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Got my buddy Dave, his son Dave and his friend Aaron out today and we went to work putting 24 walleye in the boat this morning! Weather was perfect and the lake was flat calm to start with a nice chop by the time we pulled in number 24. Always a good day when the captain is reeling in their limit 😎

The bad, I’m not sure I’ve ever caught so many sheephead in a single day. The walleye seemed to be mixed in with them and in tighter schools, when we would get a walleye in the net we would pick away another 2-4 and then it seemed like every line had a sheephead on it. I only ran 8-9 rods most the day because I had a hard time keeping them all in the water. We must’ve boated well north of 100 fish today including the 4 man limit of walleye.

Managed a couple nice jumbo perch and saw a few boats anchored targeting them so I gotta think it’s worth a shot going after them with the recent increase in catch rate of those tasty little fish. 1 more walleye trip to fishing off my season and it will be time to switch gears.

Well third times a charm, had to reschedule a few times with these guys because of weather. Finally we got a day that worked for us and we made it happen!!!

Not many pictures but I did con them into getting one at the cleaning station 😆

Took a long pass to dial in the bite but it was a nice steady pick at the walleye all morning. Not many sheephead or silver bass today which was a plus.
Flickers and spoons 14-17’ down in the water column. 2.2-2.4mph Michigan waters.

4 man limit today after we slept in and hit the mid day bite. Flicker 9’s 40-70’ back 2.1-2.4mph and mag dipsey’s on the 3 setting 19-23’ back with silver streak mini’s. First pass our shorter leads were going and had to move the spoons up to get bit. Couldn’t buy a bite on the bottom third of the water column on spoons. Moved everything a bit higher and we had’em. Wasn’t the fast and furious bite we had yesterday but a nice steady pick. Weather was beautiful again today ☀️

Not a single fish picture today and only one fish over 26” for us. Most just eater size 16-18” with a handful over 20”.

Man! We killed it out there today! Lake Erie never disappoints this time of year.

Forecast was touch and go leading up to the trip (I was a little nervous with the winds) but we tucked away and the scouting yesterday was huge!!! So happy with today’s trip, wasn’t sure if I’d had to cancel again because of weather with these guys but we took our time and had absolutely killer day. Multiple master angler fish, lost a heart breaker of a tank at the boat and pulled 19 fish first pass. Got our limit before we had all our lines in the water for the second pass. Ran in to shallower/calmer water for pictures and got the fish cleaned. Couldn’t be happier 😁😁😁

Flicker minnows 9’s 30-70 back today, 2.0-2.2mph. Spoons I couldn’t buy a bite.

Did a little scouting for tomorrow’s charter, fishing was great!!! Beautiful day out on the lake!

Did a little trolling, did a little casting and tossed a bunch of fish back to catch another day. They were biting anything, It was an absolute blast 💥

I have some open days next week and a handful of charters ahead of VETS WITH NETS. If you’re looking to take advantage of the weather and fishing let’s go for a boat ride! I felt like a little kid out there, shoot me a message and we’ll get out while the fishing and weather looks good!
