Update: I DID IT! I WON THIS BATTLE! SHE WAS BRAND NEW WHEN SHE LEFT HERE LAST NIGHT.
Yes, I had it for a week, it was scheduled for 1 day. I could have just done the best I could in a day, and let it go back to the customer.
Nope, not me... Once I get started I can't stop until I am happy with it.
This one was what I call an extreme detail, (no I do not want another one like this) we pretty much had to gut the bottom portion of the interior. The worst of the mess and smell was coming from the carpet and under it. I literally had to scrub the floor under the carpet with a small brush.
My customer was very grateful, as he had just purchased it, not knowing the mess was this bad. There is no way anyone could have handled the smell, especially with the summer heat coming.
I had a little over 30 hours on this job, I charged him for 25 hours of my work, and 3 hours of Randy's work. The bill most definitely added up, and he was a sweetheart and added in a nice tip!
Much appreciated!
Long story short.
I had a very rough detail last week. Well, I still have it. Today I will open her back up after deep cleaning it, fog bombing it, and letting it sit closed up this last weekend.
I hope and pray that pungent smell is GONE!
When I first started this one, I felt very defeated. I really didn't think I was going to get it clean. But with the help of the Boss, the seats and carpet came out, and I worked my magic from the floorboard up.
I have my fingers crossed on this one.
If you've popped in and learned anything about this vehicle, please don't mention anything.
It was not the customers mess, it was purchased this way when cold enough the smell was hidden. TIA
