Bikefest gave us the test run… now it’s time to turn this bitch up. 😂🔊🏍️

Dirk’s back in the sound room doing some more tuning. We found a few issues after Bikefest that needed some attention, got those handled, and now we’re back to beating the absolute hell out of this thing. 🤘

The tune is getting tighter, the amps are working, and those subs are FINALLY starting to break in.

If only you guys could smell those subs right now… 🤤😂

Nothing quite like that fresh subwoofer smell when they’re getting worked in.

Sometimes an upgrade isn’t about going bigger — it’s about making the system work better for how you actually use the car.

This 2023 Tesla Model S came to us with two 15” subwoofers taking up most of the trunk. The customer wanted to get some of that space back, but definitely wasn’t ready to give up having bass.

Our solution? We removed the two 15s and custom-built an enclosure in the rear cargo area for three DD Audio 10” subwoofers.

Now he still has plenty of bass, but more importantly, he got his trunk back.

That’s what custom audio is all about. Not just throwing equipment in a vehicle, but finding the right solution for what the customer actually wants.

More trunk. Clean install. Still plenty of bass. 🔊🔥

We hear that one every once in a while.

And we get it—from the outside, it looks pretty simple. Pull the old radio out, plug the new one in, and you’re done, right?

We wish. 😂

The reality is, every vehicle that comes through our doors is different. Sometimes we’re dealing with factory amps, steering wheel controls, data systems, factory features that need to be retained, programming, tuning, troubleshooting, or just figuring out why something isn’t working the way it should.

That’s where experience comes in.

We’ve been doing this a long time at 309 Custom Audio, and we take a lot of pride in knowing that when we hand you the keys back, everything is done the way we’d want it done in our own vehicle.

Sometimes the job that looks like it should take 30 minutes takes a couple hours. Sometimes the “easy one” decides to fight us the entire way. 😂

But that’s part of what we do.

We’re not here to see how fast we can get your vehicle in and out. We’re here to make sure it’s done right.

And we’re pretty damn good at that. 😎

The night before leaving for the Ozarks, we finally got Dirk’s Victory into the sound room. 🔊🏍️

We started tuning around 8PM, and by 10PM we had a mild tune in the DSPs—just enough to get him through the rally and let everything play.

We’re back from the Ozarks now, and when we get a chance, we’ll get it back in the sound room and really go through the tune.

For only having a couple hours into it that night… it was already getting down. 😏🔊

And somehow we managed to stuff 6 Cicada amps into this Victory. 😂
