We’ve been working on this bus to track down some pretty heavy electrical issues and get everything working the way it should.

Jacob has officially completed Hot Rod Drag Week 2026! 🎉🔥

Five days. A thousand miles. Plenty of racing. A whole lot of wrenching. And the ’66 Pontiac GTO made it all the way to the finish line! 💪

We couldn’t be more proud to see Jacob and his GTO successfully complete Drag Week 2026! 🏁

A HUGE thank you to everyone who followed along, cheered him on, checked in, and supported him throughout the week. We appreciate you all!

How many mechanics does it take to check brake fluid? 😂

Apparently more than one when it’s the boss’s 1966 Pontiac GTO and he’s getting ready to hit the road again! 🔧

Before Jacob headed back out for Day 4 of Drag Week tomorrow at World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis, we figured it was probably a good idea to give the GTO a once-over and make sure everything is ready for another day of putting some miles (and hopefully some passes) on it.

Brakes? Checked.
Fluids? Checked.
Everything else? Checked.
Mechanics standing around giving their opinions? Definitely checked. 😂

Hot Rod Drag Week is making its way right in front of Morrison Mechanics tomorrow, and we’re excited to see all the racers and crew out there putting in the miles! And this year, owner Jacob Morrison will be joining behind the wheel of his 1966 Pontiac GTO!

This vehicle came in with an exhaust leak, and we got it repaired and back to running the way it should!

A leak can affect how your vehicle runs, contribute to other exhaust system problems, and allow exhaust gases to end up where they shouldn’t. Catching it early and getting it repaired can help keep your vehicle running properly and prevent a small problem from becoming a bigger one.

When a vehicle has multiple issues happening at once, it can be tough to pinpoint what’s actually causing them.

After some troubleshooting, Brad found the root of the problem: the engine wiring harness had multiple bad connections.

We replaced it, and all those ongoing issues are resolved!

Nothing better than finding the actual problem and getting everything back to running right!

We know…we’ve been a little quiet on social media this summer 😅 That’s usually a good sign that we’ve been busy doing what we love — keeping customers on the road!

This one is a perfect reminder that not every scary symptom leads to a worst case scenario. This customer came in concerned about misfires and the possibility of engine failure. After taking a look, we found the culprit…a simple tune up!

A little maintenance made all the difference, and now this vehicle is running great again.

If your vehicle isn’t running quite right, don’t assume the worst. Sometimes the fix is much easier than you think. Give us a call — we’re always happy to take a look!

Morrison Mechanics will be closing at noon on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day so our team can enjoy the holiday with their families.
