The carburetor performance division of Leinbach Motorsports is now beginning our winter maintenance rebuild special. One of the most important parts of your winter reconditioning program should always be a winter fuel system reconditioning. Leinbach Motorsports did a total of 28 carburetors last season and would like to increase that number this year. Many of the repairs could have been prevented by a winter rebuild.
In the last 2 seasons we have had a large number of carburetors brought in with either a flooding issue or poor straightaway performance. We have found a number of these carbs have brass floats which crushed during the early season cold weather and atmospheric pressure. This appears to be even a larger problem if the car is left to sit and then restarted in cold weather. We have a fix for this problem and can keep it from recurring.
We are now stocking parts to recondition fuel pressure regulators and have added that to our list of repairs to better serve our customers. The regulator services have been added due to the corrosion build up in them from a season on alcohol. Carburetor performance is dependent on proper operating pressures and I have found many late season performance problems related to these units not being serviced during the off season. Remember, we service all Holley based carburetors, gas or alcohol, 2 or 4 bbl.
I have been doing carburetors for over 50 years and race exactly what we sell. I will never experiment with your money. Racing is expensive enough without having a carburetor shop try things on your dime.
Leinbach Motorsports services each carburetor individually and you will never get a carburetor back that has not had the ordered repairs completed. We also return to you all replaced components from your carburetor along with a detailed installation sheet.
Thanks,
Ronnie
