Besides selling the ultimate driving machines to so many amazing enthusiasts here in the Central Valley, it is exciting to see BMW Race Teams compete!
This weekend, BMW will compete at Road Atlanta for the IMSA season finale and famed Petit Le Mans.
In the GTD Pro Class, Paul Miler Racing’s #1 M4 GT3 EVO will look for another podium victory after their historic win at the 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona. The GTD Pro competition has been fierce and after a tough race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the #1 car goes into the weekend trailing the #4 Pratt Miller Corvette by just 47 points. This historic season-long battle between BMW and Corvette will come down to the last race - #1 needs to finish ahead of the #3 Corvette to win the Driver’s Championship.
Turner Motorsport, BMW’s customer race team with the most professional starts, will focus on the GTD Driver’s Championship. Consistent results throughout the season, along with a win at Indianapolis allow them to go into final race of the season just 6 points behind the #57 Mercedes.
Additionally, this year marks the first time BMW M Team WRT has competed in the IMSA GTP. Multiple podiums throughout the season have shown the potential of this package, culminating with their inaugural IMSA GTP win at Indianapolis. The #24 and #25 M Hybrid V8’s are looking to repeat with another victory.
Lastly after a historic 30-year career racing BMWs, including the BMW M3, M4 GT3, M6, Z4 GTE, driver Bill Auberlen will retire. An icon of BMW Motorsport victory and one of the most recognizable faces in the IMSA paddock, Bill goes into his final race as a BMW Factory driver with teammate Samantha Tan.
