On-road instruction introduces students to various driving and load situations to learn and develop safe driving techniques. Students apply space management, visual search, communication, shifting and defensive driving techniques to safely operate a tractor-trailer. A total of approximately 25 hours driving time "on-the-road" to develop students’ confidence and performance level. ADMISSION PROCEDU

Obtain an Admissions Application on the
Southwest Campus or log on to www.bishop.edu
and then click on to the Admissions menu to
locate the school enrollment application. Provide a copy of your Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and the results of DOT physical and controlled substance tests to the instructor by the first day of class. PROGRAM COSTS:
Bishop State offers high quality instruction at an affordable cost. Tuition and fees are among the lowest in the state of Alabama. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
If you qualify, financial assistance may be available through the Alabama Career Center located in Mobile at 515 Springhill Plaza Court at I-65 and Springhill Avenue Extension. During the fall and spring semesters, two sessions are offered, one at the beginning of the semester and one at the mid-point. Each session lasts eight weeks. In the summer term, the College usually offers a day session and a night session, each lasting ten weeks.

It has been a very busy summer for the Bishop State Truck Driving Program!
I would like to congratulate all of the students who came through the program, gave it their all, and achieved the goal they set out to accomplish. Through your hard work, dedication, and perseverance, you have opened a new door to a brighter future for yourselves and your families.
Thanks to the support of the ACCS Innovation Center and Skills for Success, many students have been given the opportunity to begin a rewarding new career. There are simply too many names to mention individually, but I have included their photos to recognize and celebrate their achievements.
Congratulations to each of you on your success. We are proud of your accomplishments and wish you continued success and safe travels as you begin this exciting new chapter in your lives.
