If anyone is having trouble removing the key from the ignition switch on VW’s 2006 and later,Jetta,Passat,Eos and others ,we have a much cheaper way to fix it without spending over $1200 at your local dealer. 2010 Passat with a 2.0 TSI engine. The water pumps come with a plastic housing that continue to fail .VW and Audi put these engines in the Tiguan's, Jetta's ,Passat 's,CC's - . We seem to see them fail around 65,000 to 85,000 miles.
The TSI engines also are bad about carbon sticking on the intake valves. If you have a water pump fail , be sure to check the carbon build up on the valves, since the intake manifold has to be removed to change the water pump.

VW Beetle 2002 turbo diesel with the intake manifold clogged with carbon. We removed the manifold and burned the carbon out with a propane torch and compressed air.We also replaced the EGR valve, which was also clogged with carbon .

A very appreciative man from Foley ,Alabama drove his 1997 Vw Jetta all the way to our shop to have the air conditioning looked at .We found a faulty fan control module and were able to repair it for minimal cost . The car has 300,000 miles on it and from now on he will be bring it to us for all his repairs!
