PSA: yes the new 1234yf will work in a 134a unit. But doing this is still stupid. Once you cross contaminate the oils and refrigerant. The only way to fix it is a new act system. That's a new compressor, drier, expansion valve and condensor (because they cannot be flushed out). Half the time and new evaporator. So youtube saved you 70 dollars so in the long run you pay 1200 to 3000 on average. Youtube is not always your friend.

If you havent noticed car parts have steadily been rising this year. in some cases we have seen a 250% increase since January with more notices from suppliers of increases to come. Shipping issues out of California. Rise in prices on untilities, e are doing our very best to keep our prices down. It is a struggle. In many cases finding new suppliers. We were founded with the idea of making this affordable for everyone. However to do this we need time. you be Patient with us, and we will be cheap for you.

Our newest employee at Bowmans. We shall call her Amiee. We can now service 1234yf. We are charging $100 a pound for 1234yf and $30 a pound for 134a. $50 dollars for checkouts. 5 new workers. Things are getting done faster than ever. No appointments. First come first serve. Most cars done same day. If you are willing to wait we can order from a wholesaler in Texas and save you money. All work (with parts we buy) has a one year warranty parts and labor.
