We decided to take it out for a test run on Fins and Things and Hell’s Revenge in Moab, Utah.

Everything was going great… until our way out of Hell’s Revenge, when things got a little TOO HOT! 🔥💀

Apparently, The Vault wasn’t done fighting us yet.

🔥 **WE FINALLY GOT THE VAULT RUNNING… AND THEN IT CAUGHT FIRE!** 🔥

After weeks of headaches, wiring problems, engine swap nightmares, and countless hours in the shop, The Vault was FINALLY running and driving!

Naturally, there was only one thing left to do… TAKE IT TO MOAB'S TRAILS!

We headed out to **Fins and Things** and **Hell's Revenge** to put our custom-built Polaris RZR through its first real test after the Turbo S engine swap.

Everything was supposed to be coming together. After all the work we put into this machine, we were finally getting to enjoy it.

**But on our way out of Hell's Revenge… THE VAULT CAUGHT FIRE! 🔥**

Apparently, the engine swap nightmare wasn't quite finished with us yet.

Was all that hard work for nothing? Is The Vault going back under the knife? You'll have to watch to find out!

THE NIGHTMARE IS FINALLY OVER… THE VAULT IS ALIVE!

After countless hours, wiring headaches, mechanical problems, waiting on parts, and a whole lot of frustration, we’ve FINALLY got the Vault running and driving!

But of course, this wouldn’t be the Engine Swap Nightmare series without one last problem.

What should’ve been a simple finish turned into a THREE-DAY headache. Between a blown fuel pump fuse and a loose intake boot that wouldn’t let the machine idle properly, we were left chasing down problems that turned out to have surprisingly simple solutions.

After everything this RS1-to-Turbo S engine swap has put us through, hearing it run and actually getting behind the wheel makes all the frustration worth it.

The engine swap nightmare is officially OVER!

A huge thank you to everyone who’s followed this build from the beginning, offered advice, helped us turn wrenches, or just watched us slowly lose our minds trying to make this thing work.

Well… we’re STILL waiting. 😂

Welcome back to Part 4.6 of our never-ending mission to turbocharge Black Reserve: The Vault!

This episode is a little different. Instead of turning wrenches in the shop, Morgan spends some time in the truck explaining where we’re at with the build, what’s holding us up, and what we’ve managed to accomplish while waiting for parts.

The good news? THE VAULT IS NOW SITTING ON 35” TIRES! 🔥

The bad news? We’re still dealing with the electronics. Our ECM needs to be reconfigured to work with this unique engine swap, so it’s headed to Gilomen Innovations in Minnesota to hopefully get everything communicating and running the way it should.

This build has been anything but straightforward, but we’re determined to see it through!

The Turbo Vault is almost DONE.

After all the wiring, fabrication, parts swapping, and problem solving, the machine is finally starting to look complete again.

In this episode, we get nearly everything installed and buttoned up:

🔧 About 90% of the sheet metal panels installed
💺 Interior and seats back in
❄️ Intercooler installed
💧 Intercooler coolant system completely plumbed
⚙️ Engine, drivetrain, wiring, and the rest of the major components in place

At this point, the list to actually get the Turbo Vault running is getting VERY short.

All that’s left:

⛽ Install the fuel lines
💻 Flash the ECM
🛞 Install the new 35” tires

We took the Vault from a naturally aspirated Polaris RS1-based setup and have been working through the process of installing the Turbo S engine, harness, electronics, intercooler system, and supporting components.

We’re officially in the home stretch.

The Turbo Vault build is finally starting to come together.

In this episode, we’re down to the last few wiring connections, the engine is officially set in place, the rear clutch cover/engine mount is installed, the clutches are on, and we’re starting into the fuel lines and coolant plumbing for the intercooler system.

For the intercooler radiator, we’re using the radiator from the donor machine, so now it’s all about figuring out the plumbing and getting everything tied together cleanly.

In Part 5, we’ll be:

* Flashing the ECM
* Finalizing the wiring
* Plumbing the intercooler system
* Hooking the fuel lines up to the fuel rail
* Getting even closer to finally bringing the Turbo Vault to life
