This kind of B.S. is exactly why we got into this business. We give you an honest assessment of problems, repairs, and solutions.

So apparently this is “dangerous” now. Dealership took one look at this bushing on my 2011 Sienna and immediately went into hostage-negotiation mode. They told me they “can’t legally release the vehicle” unless I sign a waiver saying I’m aware it’s unsafe to drive.

Then they hit me with the real comedy… $1,900 to replace the control arms because “the engine has to come out.”

Yeah, you heard that right… they’re claiming Toyota engineered a minivan where you have to perform HEART SURGERY just to swap a rubber bushing. I told them it’s been like this for 7 years and somehow the van still drives straight as an arrow, but they said I’m “lucky to be alive.”

Dealerships will literally invent a NASA-level repair before admitting something is just worn, not catastrophic.

But sure… let me just authorize an engine removal because the bushing has “personality lines.”
