It’s officially FRIDAY at Howard’s Auto Sales, the boss is in Italy, management is missing, and I’ve apparently been left in charge of making adult decisions.

That’s mistake number one.

Mistake number two was leaving me with coffee, car keys, and absolutely no supervision.

Yes, we have financing! No, you can’t trade in your ex, and unfortunately, your mother-in-law doesn’t qualify as a down payment either.

Somebody come buy a vehicle before Gina drops her spaghetti, the Vatican gets involved, and I end up being the subject of an emergency staff meeting.

🚨 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: CAMY AKA CAM CAM 🚨

We’re kicking off our Howard’s Employee Spotlight series, and first up is Camy… also known as Cam Cam… also known as the reason we may need to rewrite the questionnaire.

Camy is a Sales Consultant and has been with Howard’s for 11 YEARS.

ELEVEN.

At this point she doesn’t clock in. The building clocks in to Camy.

First question:

🚗 What’s your dream vehicle?

We were expecting Corvette, Mustang, maybe a nice luxury SUV…

Camy: “John Deere tractor.”

CAMY.

WE ARE A CAR DEALERSHIP.

We do not have a farm equipment department.

Yet.

Moving on.

☕ Coffee, energy drinks, or PURE CHAOS?

Camy: “That iced tea in the yellow can.”

That wasn’t an option.

Not even remotely.

She looked at a multiple-choice question and created Option D.

🎵 Favorite artist?

REN.

Finally. An actual answer to the question.

We were making progress.

🤟 Something people might not know about her?

She’s learning sign language, which is actually really cool and will probably become necessary once we stop allowing her to answer questions verbally.

🎨 Weirdly specific talent?

Designing fabric prints.

Because of course it is.

At this point Camy could tell us she’s also an amateur blacksmith on Tuesdays and we’d just nod and keep going.

Finally, we asked:

“Describe yourself in THREE words.”

Camy:

“I will help you buy a car.”

CAMY.

THREE.

WE SAID THREE.

You gave us SEVEN.

But you know what? After 11 years, she’s earned four bonus words.
