Last week we lost our father, Randy Henning, the man that started it all. He was a pioneer in the Volkswagen aftermarket industry designing the only Made in the USA cylinder heads and drop in hydraulic lifters kits. He also was the longest owner of a racetrack in the entire country, owning Great Lakes Dragaway for 32 years. He was a race car driver, husband, son, brother, friend, boss, promoter, teacher and most importantly our dad. Words cannot express the loss we are feeling. His life and influence will be felt for generations.

Finally, we have my old 65 convertible that was mounted to a 69 frame. It is partially apart as I meant to make it into a rat rod and then life happened.

NOS main bearing overstock sale!!!

First, these are all odd sizes. Second, these were all manufactured in the 80’s and 90’s.

Here we have align bore bearings for .010”, .030”, .080” and .100” on the align bore. Crank sizes range from .010” to .040”.

We also have standard thrust, standard case and .040” on the crank main journals.

All sizes are $80 per set. Buy 10 sets and the price drops to $65. Buy them all and the price drops to $50 per set.(free shipping for any orders of 10 or the whole lot)

Why am I not using them? We use new crankshafts in our new standard case builds. We also have our align bore bars set up for .020, .040 and .060.

Cranking away at another batch of engines!!! We’ve never had such a diverse shop before; brand new 1600cc, rebuilt 1600cc, rebuilt 1600 fuel Injection, rebuilt 1600cc type 3, rebuilt 36hp, complete 2000cc type 4, brand new 1835cc and (2) brand new 2110cc complete engines all at the same time!!

We are now 75% caught up from our backlog.

We are still struggling however with bearing supply and also hydraulic push rods for our type 1 kits. Our manufacturer has been out of material to even make them for the last 8 weeks. Hopefully that changes soon.

We are also going to unfortunately have to raise prices again in Sept due to our costs increasing from our suppliers 8% to 20%. With razor thin margins already, this really hurts.

Working on finishing this batch of engines up before the 4th. Things seems to take much longer than they used to. Using parts that are currently available, the biggest issue we have is bearings. At least 50% of the “new” sets don’t have the proper crush, either too much or too little. Either way, that why we measure, test fit and test run every engine.
