Did a little rescue today! Guy went camping last week, right before we got hit with a big snowstorm. He woke up to almost 3’ of snow with drifts up to 5’. Last pics are from first attempt last weekend. Big crew today but the snow had melted down to only 18” so it was a pretty easy recovery.

Well, after 3 weeks at the dealership the wife’s JLU is back home. Two blown head gaskets and while they tore it down, they found the oil cooler was leaking and the passengers side intake camshaft was bad because the valve lash adjusters were seized (just like on my JT). All fixed now, glad we got the extended warranty lol.
Oil cooler and camshaft were the things I was worried about possibly failing in the future, so I’m glad it’s all fixed up!

Officially 0 for 3 with the 3.6 Pentastar.
2012 JKU died at 148k, after getting the head replaced at 20k.
2020 JT had the valve lash adjusters seize and take out the rockers and intake cam on the passenger side at 80k.
2019 JLU has blown head gaskets at 85k.

What the crap . All three were brand new when I got them. I had better luck with every used Jeep I’ve bought in last 30 years than any of the new ones.

Anybody else get in on the 60% off deal Quadratec had on their Stealth light bars? End of last month, they were on special for $200!!

I saw them when they first came out but they were crazy expensive. The Gen2’s are more affordable and seem like they hang down less inside the windshield. These mount inside the cab, so no ghost noises while driving from the wind, lol! Wiring looks super easy, includes a harness to pull power from the cigarette lighter.
