📢 📣📣📣 OFFICIAL NOTICE REGARDING THE ESTATE OF Elton H Duffy The Gas Tank Man To all collectors, restorers, and members of the vintage outboard community:

As many of you know, this page was created to document and celebrate my father’s 25-year passion for restoring vintage Evinrude and Johnson outboard gas tanks. Please be advised that following his passing, no Personal Representative or Executor has been legally appointed by the Rock County Probate Court in Wisconsin. Under Wisconsin law, all vintage tanks, parts, and tools remain the locked property of the estate and cannot legally be sold, traded, or gifted by any individual at this time. If you are contacted by anyone attempting to privately liquidate, sell, or clear out my father's collection, please be aware that these transactions are unauthorized and legally invalid. Buying these items involves purchasing contested estate property under active court review. Thank you all for helping me protect my father's true legacy and ensuring his life's work is handled with the strict legal integrity it deserves.— Lisa Lazuli , Page Founder & Admin and for always and ever, my father's ever loving daughter.

Please share this information to applicable groups. Thank you to the many who have shared their heartfelt memories, recollections, and stories about The Gas Tank Man, my dad, Elton Duffy. These heartfelt expressions bring a tear to my eye and I appreciate every one of you!! And all who have supported my dad over the years, in his desire to share knowledge and spread joy in the boat and motor community he loved!! There is much to do right now and it will take a while to go through messages. I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. And your patience is appreciated while navigating the difficult days ahead. His memory will live on through all of you!

With profound grief and immense love, this morning my father, The Gas Tank Man joined my mother in Heaven. He passed away while embarking on one last earthly adventure, traveling to his ancestral homeland of Norway to satisfy a life long dream.

Long ago, he came within hours of becoming a licensed pilot , and left this world flying and much like he lived it: with boundless enthusiasm, insatiable curiosity, infectious joy, and an adventurous spirit that never stopped reaching for the horizon.

His life was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though my heart is shattered, I am deeply grateful that his final chapter was written doing something he loved, in a place that called to his soul.
Fly high, Dad. Give Mom the biggest hug from all of us. Until we meet again, you will be loved, missed, and carried with us every day. ❤️

NOS Vintage Mercury Kiekhaefer outboard gas tank hold down tank- trap clamps. I have 3 sets of these and I'll be taking these to Tomahawk. Notice the plastic piece inside the clamp. These are probably harder to find than Mercury 2 line pressure tank hose. Offers welcomed.

I will also be showing you how to replace the diaphragms on both the metal and plastic push buttons.. I'll also have diaphragms and tank gaskets for sale. Located by Tom Johnson site from St Paul. Located half way down the strip. Turn right, go 50 yards, and bingo, there I am.

Here is a collection of war cans that most of you will never see in your lifetime if I don't post them. I've been conferring with the expert on these war cans, Mr. Glenn Folkerts in Fairview Heigjts, Illinoshortly. He wrote an article anout these cans that appeared in a AOMCI magazine back in 2009. Glenn supplied the decals for these cans. He was excited to see the 5 gallon can with the brass swivel nozzle. It was a first for him and evidently quite rare. I would like to display my collection at the Tomahawk, Wisconsin, meet that will be here shorty.
