We are seeking a well-disciplined, self-motivated mechanic whom has the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. This position is ideal for those wanting to advance their skills set in the truck and trailer repair industry.
Applicant is expected to already have intermediate knowledge of Truck service and repair.
Must have own basic tools. Experience with operating power tools, hydraulic jacks and heavy duty mechanical lifts.
Position is intended to be full-time - Monday thru Friday
Hourly pay rate will be discussed during interview.
Job Description
• Diesel automotive technicians diagnose and repair trucks automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Repair or replace defective parts such as starters, alternators, belts, and hoses. Rewire or install new lights, replace and adjust brakes, replace brake chambers, shock absorbers, change or recharge batteries, and repair and maintain coolant systems.
• Welding and Light fabrication.
• Inspect parts for wear, visually and with diagnostic instruments. Replace as necessary
Job Requirements
• Capable of driving standard transmissions.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of work ethic.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
•Good attendance and being on time to work is mandatory.
•Must have prior work-related experience.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
