They said they were the oil guys.

Two guys pulled up behind an Evansville fast-food restaurant at 2 a.m. this week and told the crew they were there to pick up the oil. The crew didn't know them. And they knew that's not how oil gets collected.

Police found about 300 gallons in their van. That's more than one restaurant puts out, so it probably wasn't their first stop of the night.

Johnny's Tavern has been serving up tradition since 1953. Fourteen locations. One of the loudest game-day rooms in Kansas City.

We collect their used cooking oil, so they can keep their fryers full and their football customers happy. So when the Chiefs took the Colts to overtime Sunday night and won it 33–30 — the Johnny's Tavern crew was there to see it.
