🚨 WARNING: GRAPHIC ENGINE CONTENT! 🚨

Some engines throw a rod. This one threw in the towel, packed its bags, and knocked a couple of windows in the block on its way out. 💥🤣

We've seen some pretty impressive engine failures over the years, but this one deserves a little recognition.

Apparently, keeping all those internal engine parts internal was more of a suggestion than a requirement.

The good news? We found the problem.

The bad news? The engine installed TWO inspection windows. Neither was a factory option. 😂

On the bright side, checking the internal components just got a whole lot easier.

Unfortunately, so did checking the oil level. From the outside. 🤣

Just another day at Kreager Tire & Service.

This one just hit differently.

This story isn’t meant to disparage another business—it’s just a good story!

We had a pickup truck in this week for a sticking brake concern.

Now... this particular truck was picked up from the customer’s house by a dealership employee so she could take advantage of her “free” oil change.

On the way back to the dealership, one of the brakes locked up. The customer literally drove by her own truck sitting alongside the road, waiting for a tow truck to arrive. 😳

Fast forward >>>> The truck finally arrived at the dealership, and apparently they were unable to verify the customer’s concern. 🤔 IKR?

The vehicle was then driven to us for evaluation.

After a solid test drive and a thorough brake inspection, one of our technicians determined that one of the rear caliper’s dual pistons was seizing. We also found that the parking brake shoes on one side had delaminated, and part of the broken shoe was lodging inside the rotor.

Everything was documented and reviewed with the customer. We restored her brakes and took care of some other recommendations that were discussed along the way.

You can’t make this stuff up. 😂

For 40 years we have taken care of a few generations of vehicles and drivers around Millersport, Baltimore, Thornville, and Buckeye Lake — and honestly, we spent all that time working on cars, not asking anyone to write about it.

Hello everyone! We continue to battle with Spectrum phone service at our shop. Believe me when I say, we can get just as frustrated as you with poor phone quality. We have, yet again, another "technician" coming out to diagnose our issues tomorrow.

A couple things...

1) You can text us right to our terminals at (740)467-2294.

2) If we can't get your call answered, or you can't hear us or you get disconnected the guys are very on top of returning your call at the number on our caller id.

I personally, as well as Ted and Tom, appreciate your patience and understanding.
