Here we are for one last visit with 3.5L EcoBoost 448AA on ! After 165000 miles of abuse in ways no normal person would push on an engine, it's been pulled out of the truck and returned to Ford. Watch as it gets checked for remaining power, and then fully torn down and measured at the Detroit Auto Show. Will this engine still have held up?

We've now followed a Ford 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine on our last few from when they were introduced from random selection, through dyno torture testing, going to work hauling timber, running 24 hours straight on a NASCAR track, and head to head against the competition. What could be next?
The SCORE Baja 1000. One of the most grueling off-road races in the world. 1200 miles of practice, 1062 miles of competition.

OK, this isn't Ford related, but oh my gosh.
For real, if you're taking a vehicle off road, please know the specs and limits! For example, apparently "Wade Mode" on these things allows driving through 32 inches of water. 😲

Tesla's manual for the Cybertruck shares a handful of warnings for drivers who want to use the "Wade Mode" feature.

We've seen some photos and heard some stories from folks who have tested the abilities of the Maverick. The safety features and structures built into this truck have definitely kept its drivers safe!

The 2026 Ford Maverick has been named as an IIHS Top Safety Pick, joining the Ford Explorer and Ford Mustang Mach-E as award winners for the current model year.

Our series following Engine 448AA continues! Now at 162046 miles, we're taking the F-150 head to head with the 5.3 liter Chevy Silverado and the 5.7 liter Hemi RAM. The test? 9000lb up a 6% hill, measured time to 60mph, and time to the top of the hill 3.5 miles up!
