❤️ Beebe L.O.V.E. Letter Honors Olivia Wetzel! ❤️

Olivia Wetzel, LPN, is a nurse at Beebe Healthcare and was recognized for her quick thinking, calm under pressure, and lifesaving actions!

While a coworker was eating lunch alone in their office, they suddenly began choking and found themself unable to breathe. After trying to manage on their own for what felt like an eternity, they realized they needed help and made their way toward the Nurse Station.

Fortunately, Olivia was there. Unable to speak or catch a breath, her coworker motioned for help, and Olivia responded immediately, calmly taking control of the situation. Olivia respectfully asked if she could perform the Heimlich maneuver, and after receiving a nod of consent, she acted without hesitation.

Olivia performed the Heimlich maneuver twice, and within seconds, her coworker was able to breathe again. She stayed by her side, offering kindness and reassurance until they felt well enough to return to work.

Olivia's coworker made it home safely that day due to her calm and confidence in that moment.

When Dr. David Tam, President and CEO of Beebe Healthcare, asked Olivia if she felt calm under pressure, she simply said, "I was the only one there and I just said, alright, let's do this."

In the letter nominating Olivia, her coworker shared that Olivia's presence, awareness, and willingness to step in turned a frightening situation into one that was quickly brought under control. They expressed confidence that Olivia extends that same professionalism and genuine kindness to every patient in her care, and thanked her for living the Beebe values so courageously.

❤️ Beebe L.O.V.E. Letter Honors Lisa Knapp! ❤️

Lisa Knapp, MSN, RN, is the Director of Case Management at Beebe Healthcare and was recognized today for her extraordinary compassion and dedication to patient care.

Lisa recently cared for a patient awaiting guardianship who was facing a long stay. She noticed he wasn't eating the hospital food, and took the time to learn more about him, discovering he was originally from England and had a fondness for porridge, biscuits, and other familiar snacks from home. Without hesitation, Lisa went out and personally purchased these items for him, along with comfortable clothes and shoes, all using her own money. In the time that followed, the care team saw a remarkable improvement in the patient's wellbeing.

Lisa's colleague, Jamie Dickerson, RN, Nurse Manager, who read Lisa her L.O.V.E. Letter, shared that this kind of care is not unique to this one patient. Lisa shows this same level of thoughtfulness and dedication to every patient, every single day, seven days a week.

When recognized, Lisa remained humble, sharing that this work isn't easy, but that she does it because she genuinely cares about her patients. She noted that patients often show the most progress in their recovery when they know someone truly cares about them, a reminder that even the smallest gestures of kindness can make all the difference.

The letter was presented by William M. Chasanov, DO, MBA, FACP, and Jamie Dickerson, RN, Nurse Manager, with Loretta Ostroski, RN, Vice President of Integrated Care, and a large group of Lisa's colleagues on hand to present her with the award.

We are incredibly proud to share that Hertrich Collision Centers of Middletown was recently featured in FenderBender Magazine, one of the leading publications in the collision repair industry! 👏🔧

The article highlights our brand new 15,120 square foot facility at 353 Auto Park Drive in Middletown, Delaware, which opened in January and was designed from the ground up around efficiency, scalability, and long-term operational excellence. The circular vehicle flow design minimizes unnecessary movement between departments, improves team communication, and supports overall production efficiency.

From our state-of-the-art Garmat paint booths and Car-O-Liner structural repair systems to our Pro Spot welding equipment and energy efficient climate controlled production space, this facility represents the Hertrich Family's continued commitment to delivering safe, high quality collision repairs for the communities we serve.
