We are heartbroken at the loss of our beloved Aunt Evelyn.
Evelyn Ann Tapp Obituary
With love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of our mother, Evelyn A. Tapp, who passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Born on August 11, 1932, to Ross and Helen (Woods) Kimball, Evelyn grew up in Milford, Michigan, the oldest of five siblings.
Evelyn's life was beautifully intertwined with that of her late husband, Floyd "Jim" Tapp, whom she met while working at the General Motors Proving Grounds. Their union was filled with love and laughter, and together they created a family that was a testament to devotion and joy until Jim's passing in 1987. She also cherished her companionship with William "Cris" Crisovan for many years, who preceded her in death in 2020.
A woman of vibrant spirit, Evelyn loved to dance and embraced life with open arms. She also enjoyed playing golf, finding joy in the game and the friendships it fostered. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness was the quiet undercurrent she’ll be most remembered for. She was the heart of our family, always encouraging us to celebrate each moment and find joy in the little things. Steadied by her unwavering faith, Evelyn found strength and solace in her faith throughout her life, guiding her in both joyful and challenging times.
Evelyn dedicated more than 40 years to Milford Glass, which was owned by her brother. This provided her with the wonderful opportunity to spend much of her life surrounded by family, creating cherished memories and lasting bonds.
Evelyn leaves behind her five loving children: Roxeanne Peele, David (Claudia), Mary Talarczyk, Laura Goode, and Dennis (Beth). She took great pride in her 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, celebrating the exceptional people they have become and always wishing for their happiness in all they do. She is now reunited in spirit with her beloved sons-in-law, Ric Peele and Tom Talarczyk, as well as her granddaughter, Jami, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Bud and Gordon Kimball and her sister Jean Parks.
Evelyn's legacy will live on through the countless memories she created, the love she shared, and the lessons she imparted. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to dance in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date, where we will gather to celebrate her memory and share stories of the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in her name to Trinity Hospice, whose compassionate care and comfort touched all of us as her life story concluded.
As we remember our mother, we hold on to the hope shared in a popular dance song… "we'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day." May her joyful spirit inspire us all to embrace life fully, cherish every moment, and spread love and kindness wherever we go.
