Obviously, it's been awhile since we posted so we figured today would be a great start by celebrating our 5 year anniversary! This day back in 2019 we took our first tow to Mason City, IA from Milford in our 1998 International Crew Cab Rollback.
Over the past 5 years a lot has changed. That includes our location from 1607 P Ave in Milford to 2071 220th St in Milford. We started out of a 2 bay shop that barely fit our two trucks in, to our recent 6000sq ft shop that houses our fleet of 10+ trucks and specialty equipment from the elements. With our relocation in 2020 we also gained a secured lot for wrecks, impounds, and investigations.
As far as equipment that has also changed. What was once a light duty operation has changed into Medium Duty, Heavy Duty, Long Haul, Recovery/Scene Restoration, and Underwater Recovery. In the past 5yrs we have had some major milestones. In 2021 we added our first 35ton heavy wrecker and began our specialty purchases such as our Skid Steer and Winch Box. 2021 was also another big move as we acquired the local underwater company currently known as Boji Underwater Recovery Specialist. The following years have brought us more equipment updates and additions. January 2024 brought us our biggest surprise ever, our 50ton rotator which has allowed us to perform more complicated recoveries faster and damage free. Following the next few weeks we will be doing more equipment spot lights in order to show our capabilities with our current fleet, along with specialty equipment that the general public doesn't get to see on a day to day operation.
Not only is our equipment a big part of our operation but so is training and networking with other towing companies thru out the nation. Our training and certifications consist of TIMS Training, online seminars, in class lectures, tests and hands on scenarios. Some of our training has consisted of traveling to Arkansas, Baltimore, Florida, Minnesota and Nebraska to name a few. Upon training we recently received our 1st Certificate of Recognition by the Dickinson County EMS Association for "Friend of EMS" for 2024.
We would like to say "Thank You" to all our past, current, and future customers. Our community support has been outstanding since welcoming us in 2019 which we are beyond grateful for. While 2024 is just a couple months away from ending we look forward to expansions and growth for 2025 and years to come.
Thanks Ben and Taryn Kurpgeweit
