What can you expect to be asked when calling in for a tow or roadside service? (Aside from your name, contact number, and of course, if you're safe.)

Year, make, model of the vehicle. This question starts us off!
Followed by, "what's going on with your vehicle today?" Maybe it's not starting or maybe it's just making a weird noise and you don't feel comfortable driving it. This question is VERY open ended and really sets the scene for our driver. It allows them to start thinking of equipment needed and possible solutions.
And of course, where are you located, and if needing a tow, where are you looking to go? If you're not familiar with the location, we'll ask if you're able to share your location and help you out as best we can.
If you're looking for roadside service, what type? We deliver fuel, unlock your car if your keys got locked in, jump start your car if your battery needs a boost (we can also replace your battery on scene), change your flat tire to your spare, and winch you out of the mud/snow/grass, etc.

Situations can be scary, and our dispatcher will do their best to help you remain calm and get someone out to you as quick as we can. Being prepared, as best you can under the circumstances, helps things go a lot smoother! Your dispatcher and driver are here to help you.

"Do you have a flatbed? I was told I'd need a flatbed tow truck." A flatbed is actually the most common tow truck to have!

A flatbed truck has a hydraulic bed that tilts down like a big ramp. The car either gets driven or winched up the deck by, in our case, a synthetic line. Once its on the bed, the driver uses a four point strap system to secure the vehicle. A flatbed is the best to use when you have an AWD or 4WD vehicle, an electric car, vehicles that have severe tire damage, classics, and long distance tows. It's the safest method of towing as all four wheels are completely off the ground.
