Better late than never coverage of this year's Auburn Court Duesenberg Festival. One of the world's greatest car show festivals ever! Based in Auburn Indiana centered around the Auburn, Cord, & Duesenberg Museum, the National Auto and truck (Natmus) museum, and the early Ford V8 museum, this vacation destination is a car lovers paradise.
This was my 17th year, and Amelia DogHarts ninth. This year Amelia returned not only as a friend to many, but as a celebrity since she was featured in this year's festival guide!!! (Thanks to our Pal, (Jack Bassett for the writeup! ) People were recognizing her, calling out, and posing for photos with her left and right all weekend long.
Friday started out with the exclusive ACD swapmeet where I finally found not one, but two temperature Gauges for my Cord, along with Editor Angelo Van Bogart and his Duesenberg SSJ Book which we finally added to our library.
Saturday featured the ACD reunion show in the wonderfully wooded Eckhart Park, and then we ran over to the swap meet at the early Ford V8 Museum.
We set up camp at our friend's Auburn Vintage Standard Station, where we Made Chicago Italian beef sandwiches on Friday and we had a wonderful steak and egg breakfast with Jon and Peg on Sunday morning!!! Peggy the pie lady shocked me with her homade jellies which really put breakfast over the top!!!
I'm sure I'm forgetting to tell yous something but as always, the AuburnCordDuesenbergFestival was the best!!!

Here's a little coverage of this year's Newport Hill Climb. Amelia DogHart and I didn't arrive until sunset Saturday evening to camp overnight and roam around a bit all day on Sunday. We cooked Sausage egg and cheese sandwiches at camp in the morning, and used my Model T Manifold cooker to make ChiliDogs and chips while we were hanging out around the hill. We did a little background touring, a little off-roading, and some small town garage saleing. Saw some friends and managed to legally run up the hill twice, and once the previous evening in the dark by the light of the pale moon light. Good times!!!

One of my Dream cars, this Replica with no drivetrain just sold for $60,000!!!! Considering the real deal sells for about 2 Million these days, I guess it's still a deal!!! If I could have won it, It would have put my Tucker display over the top!!! And I'm sure it could be repowered with something gas or electric to putz around in...
