We specialize in teaching new anglers how to approach bass fishing. If you want to learn a new lake, new technique etc. We are a Veteran owned and operated business. We offer half and full day trips, $350 full / $250 half. Our home lake is Joe Pool, and we offer services on most DFW area lakes. Equipment can be provided upon request, we use all high quality equipment. Skeeter FX20 powered by a 250

Yamaha SHO, Lowrance electronics, TFO rods, Lews reels, Vicious fishing line. Give us a call or send an email and lets get you out on the water. We also offer a new boat owner instruction, this includes launching and trailering boat, navigating, electronics, and all safety tips.

Tuesday evening we took first responder fire fighter/EMT Zach from North Carolina. In town for training he wanted to get in some fishing after class. Fishing was decent, we had several pull off in the reeds which is always tough to fish. But not a bad trip. Zach thanks again for the job you do and for choosing GTB Outdoors!

Monday evening we took out Marcin and his son Adam. In town for the World Cup match, they also wanted to check the block of fishing in Texas. Always good to have father / son trips, and happy to accommodate FIFA fans while in the DFW. Fishing in the evening was good after drying out from the earlier rains. Adam got in on the action and looks like it was a fun trip for him, nothing like making memories. Thanks again guys for giving GTB Outdoors a call.

Monday we took out Bryson and his best buddy Keaton. The weatherman was way off with rain percentages but oh well, we did have to make a run back to the truck due to a downpour and some lightning. Once that passed we got back out and continued fishing in the rain and the fish were biting! You don’t mind squishy feet as long as you’re catching! Saturday we had Jake and Brady, brothers who were visiting from Northern California. We hit lake Alvarado, with high water temps they still managed to catch several fish. Days prior while visiting the Austin area they went out with a buddy and fellow guide to fish lake Travis. They were on a mission to catch Texas bass. 4th of July, we snuck out early to get Judit and Joel out on the lake before the heat and pleasure boat traffic. Fishing was decent for the conditions, water temps are rising. I think I sparked a little competition amongst them, and learned that they are avid card collectors. Thanks again Judit for choosing GTB Outdoors! 🎣

Last week Seth had quite the trip. Stephanie booked a trip for her friend as a Father’s Day gift. Sitting at the courtesy dock waiting for them to arrive, we see them pull up and start heading down to the boat. Seth and I at the same time was saying this dude is big, we ask did he play ball or something and he’s like yeah….what do you know it’s retired NFL defensive end/ lineman for the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears Jay (Jeremiah) Ratliff! What a great trip for Seth, and from the pics the fish were biting. That’s twice we’ve been surprised by NFL players, and nothing like receiving a fishing trip as a gift. Stephanie thanks for choosing GTB Outdoors, it was a pleasure. 🎣

We close out the week with Mason and his cousin Tyler. Tyler was saying they are like cousin/brothers, they have a huge family that all grew up together. A lot of family stories were talked about and a little cousin smack talking also! They started the trip off with placing an assortment of bets, hopefully there was a payout at the end with Mason taking the honors. Thanks again Mason for giving us the call and let’s do it again!

Seth bassaddict.fishing got in on the action at lake Alvarado with Scott, Eddie and his daughter Jordan. Looks like there was plenty of enjoyment, and always fun to share with others. Fishing was pretty decent and any day out on the water is better than working. It was brought to our attention that it was Eddie’s birthday, thats a good friend to gift a fishing trip! 🎣

Looks like Josiah came out with the win. Looks like a few new tips and tricks were learned this trip, and that’s always good. Always fun doing father/son trips.
