Took care of this customer the other day in Wickett, Tx.
Customer called distressed about getting DEF fluid in the diesel tank on a 2023 Ram 3500. Showed up to their house next day to check the problem and possibly perform a quick fix! Ended up dropping the fuel tank out on an open lot next to their house. Took a look inside and saw diesel and DEF fluid mixed and separating from eachother in the tank. Drained the excess liquid and rinsed out tank with hot water and soaked up remaining liquid in the tank (water) and dried the tank up. Reinstalled sending unit and remounted fuel tank and hoses. Put 5 gallons of diesel in the tank and flushed the system with the high pressure hose disconnected. Did that a few times and gave her a go. Truck started right up added 10oz of fuel additive to the tank and filled the rest up with diesel as well as replaced the fuel filters. Took truck for a drive and “drove better than before” according to the customer! Happy customer once again!
