The City of Middletown has lost a dear friend, who was not just a member of our community, but its heart and soul. His presence illuminated every corner, his laughter echoed every downtown street and alley, and his kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him . He was a walking history book of the city with great vision . If you knew him from his high school teaching days, his coaching days, real estate business , or county director of purchasing you knew he was a man committed to success and beloved by all his co-workers and those who he touched . But the place that he loved the most, (my opinion ) was the position of Director of the City of Middletown Business Improvement District. We all have a picture of him driving that electric car around downtown forever in our minds. Mr. Middletown, John F. Degnan, the man. One of the best ! Prayers for our John , Joan, Johnny, Kelly and family . RIP my friend . 🇮🇪 We all loved him so much and he knew it!
