Middle River Automotive We repair cars and light trucks.We have a 12lb 2 post lift so 1 tons are no problem. The north bay is currently being renovated.

Our list of capabilities range from simple maintenance to heavy end work like removing and installing engines and transmissions. achine that will handle up to a 22 inch rim and a ranger digital tire balancer, we repair flats, order and install new tires, and will mount and dismount your carry in tires. It will be used for engine and electronic diagnosis, dash work, and top end engine work. Its COOOOOLD out. I have recieved a few phone calls about strange vehicle noises the past few days. Remember, cold air is dense, dense air will create strange and annoying howling and whistling noises in some vehicles air intakes. It will not harm your car or truck. manufactures design intakes with a degree of noise suppression from the factory, to aid in noise reduction at most ambient temps. dense below zero temps are not incorporated into the design. if your car or truck makes a strange noise in the cold, an easy way to self diagnose if its just cold air or something else is to pull it in a warm building such as a car wash n see if it stops.....thanks for reading.

If your car has a timing belt be aware that it should be changed according to manufactures recommendations. Due to strict EPA guidelines and car makers striving for efficiency the majority of cars on the road with timing belts are interference engines. To simplify, this means if your belt breaks so do expensive internal engine parts. If your not sure when to change it, or if your car even has one, call or stop in. We are more than happy to assist you.

With cold weather comes car problems. If you are experiencing a hard start/ no start in the morning you may be in need of a tune up. Cold dense air requires more fuel, more fuel requires strong spark to ignite. Worn spark plugs with a wide gap will cause a hard start/ no start on a cold morning.
