Fall is here (yes 50’s on the forecast for the weekend!!!), and it’s time for us to slow things down a little at Sunset Resort at Medina Lake!

After a busy summer, it’s time to adjust our schedule so we can spend some much-needed time with family, tackle a few projects around the resort, and start getting everything ready for an even BIGGER and BETTER Summer 2027!

Sunset Landing and our Sports Courts will now be open ONLY on the dates listed below throughout our off-season.

But don’t worry, we’re not done having fun just yet! We’ve got some great events planned this fall, including made from scratch Cajun food, tournaments, holiday festivities, and more! We hope you’ll come out and join us!

GOOD NEWS FOR OUR BOATERS! Our boat ramp will remain OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK, so you can keep enjoying Medina Lake!

❤️ We are incredibly thankful for everyone who has supported us, visited, shared our posts, and helped make our first season so special. We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share some of the improvements we have planned!

We’re not closing up shop… we’re just shifting gears for the season!

Who's coming to enjoy the views and grab lunch with us today?!? The upper deck is the perfect place to relax, grab a cold one and enjoy the view or if your a multi tasker, bring the iPad and get some work done at the same time! Today on special is Baja Shrimp Nachos! So good with the white queso! As a heads up...Bar & Grill will be closed next weekend...Oct 17-18...so come get your smash burger fix today!

Love when customers share their Medina Lake findings with us! This is at the Bandera County Fair this weekend in Bandera! Thank you Frontier Times Museum for providing this opportunity for others to learn about Medina Lake history!

Want to come check it out for yourself? Bar & Grill is open this weekend with full menu from 11 am - 8 pm Saturday and Sunday. As always, boat launch is open 7 days a week, 7 am - 9 pm!

This view never gets old! Oct. 5, 2026 quick flight over the east side of Medina lake! Currently 28.8% full, which is about 42’ below full pool conservation.

Weather looks amazing this weekend for one last water ski before the cooler temps finish out next week!
-Sunset Landing Bar & Grill Open Sat & Sunday @ 11 am for lunch and dinner…..come grab a smash burger and cold one and enjoy the views!
-Boat Launch open 7 am - 9 pm

There’s something pretty special about having neighbors who love the history of Medina Lake as much as we do. ❤️

We’re so thankful for the people who take the time to share their old photos, stories, and memories with us! Every one of them helps preserve another little piece of the history that made this lake what it is today.

This one is especially meaningful. Joe Granieri helped pioneer the resort life on Medina Lake, opening Hotel Granieri in Mico and later creating what generations came to know as Joe’s Marina.

More than a century later, we’re incredibly proud to be the new face of Joe’s original dream — welcoming families to the lake, making memories, and continuing the tradition of hospitality on this little piece of Medina Lake. 💙

The name may have changed, but the heart behind it hasn’t.

From Joe’s Marina to Sunset Resort at Medina Lake — here’s to honoring the past while writing the next chapter.
