We are hiring! High Gear Collision is looking for a lead painter. Our ideal candidate will be our lead painter and must be able to prep and paint vehicles. They should also be able to paint single stage and base coat/clear coat, as well as color match accurately and paint vehicles efficiently.

Automotive Painter Duties & Responsibilities:
Efficiently perform auto body painting using proper techniques for both single-stage or base coat/clear coat solvent-based paint.
Assess paint needs of vehicles based on priority of repair.
You must provide all your own tools and understand proper disposal of hazardous waste.
Ability to prep and paint a wide range of vehicles from passenger cars to fleet vehicles.

Automotive Painter Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Daily interaction with shop manager/estimator to fully understand the nature of repair assignment. Ability to prioritize repairs. Perform quality work product.
Complete work assignment before each vehicle moves to the next stage of repair or delivery.

Automotive Painter Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an auto body painter.
You must be able to prep and paint.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
Ability to work as a team player, as part of the auto body shop team.
Positive attitude and ability to listen and follow directions.
Willingness to show up on time each day for work at the body shop.

The snow and ice has melted, it was beautiful while it lasted. We all faced so many challenges during the winter storm. We're thankful for our first responders who were out there braving this record breaking weather to help those in need. We also wanted to extend our thanks to the men and women who restored electricity, internet and water service to so much of Texas. And last but not least truck drivers who are getting our grocery stores stocked again. We thank you!

The rain was much needed; the hail not so much. But we're here to help if you were caught Saturday morning in the hail storm.

Fast-moving storms pelted much of Bexar County and the area with big hail and high winds Saturday morning.
