This is why Toyota is trash I can't get my E Brake released because Toyota doesn't say where the button is that I have to press do they not realize people need specific instructions on how to do something this is completely mind bottling and now I cannot drive my truck this Tacoma needs to go to the recycling yard as it's only use is to be cashed out after it's crushed I will be suing Toyota for misleading actions, malpractice, fraud, emotional distress, endangerment, coercing, and theft of my time

Master L**e Tech here I'm arguing with my shop foreman because he's saying there's too much oil in this car I just did and I told him that he's just an old boomer that should go sit at his computer and let a real Mechanic work in peace but he's saying I have to drain out some of the oil but why on the world would I do that it's an old car it's going to burn the oil anyways I don't get paid to do an oil change twice cause I'm hourly so l told him if he wants it drained so badly he can stop being a lazy shop foreman and actually do his job for once instead of hiding in customer cars acting like he's figuring out their rattle I can't wait to take his shop foreman job and fire him or let him work as a beginner l**e tech

Serious question because I’m genuinely confused. everyone keeps saying I “need crosshatch” in the cylinder but why would you WANT scratches in the first place?? Wouldn’t a mirror finish be objectively better? Less friction, smoother surface, better MPG, more power. That’s just basic physics. Crosshatch literally looks like intentional damage. Why would an engine need tiny grooves when the piston rides on oil anyway? A quick ball hone will smooth this out and honestly polishing it would make it even better. I don’t understand why people think a rough surface somehow helps sealing when smooth surfaces seal better in every other application on earth. Are we really pretending that scratches = performance now? Sounds like machine shops invented “crosshatch” to justify boring cylinders instead of letting people fix engines themselves. If mirror finishes are good enough for bearings and crank journals they’re good enough for cylinders. Make it make sense.

Why isn’t he just holding the brakes this is literally what brakes are for to stop the hub from spinning so you can break the axle nut loose instead of doing this caveman engineering with pry bars and screwdrivers jammed into the hub like this is 1920 and risking bending backing plates snapping ABS wires or destroying a brand new wheel bearing because if the brakes can stop a 5000 pound truck from 70 mph they can DEFINITELY hold a wheel still while you hit an axle nut and anyone saying otherwise is just coping for bad technique and trying to justify extra labor time because this is basic mechanical common sense that somehow got lost with modern mobile mechanics

Dealership is saying I'm overdue for a oil change but I told them my car has lifetime oil in it and they are telling me that's not true but there's literally a sticker on my car that says it's lifetime so who is lying?

Dealership is trying to scam me saying I need an entire driveshaft replacement for $1,493.62 when it’s literally just a u-joint and anyone with actual mechanical knowledge knows u-joints are designed to be serviced individually, replacing the whole driveshaft is pure laziness and a money grab because modern mechanics don’t know how to fix anything anymore, they’re just trained to swap assemblies like robots instead of diagnosing problems, back in the day a real mechanic would press in a new joint for $50 and send you on your way but now in this TikTok mechanic era they want to replace the whole car piece by piece, there is absolutely no reason a solid metal driveshaft needs to be replaced just because one joint looks worn, that’s like replacing an entire engine because a spark plug went bad, this is why dealerships have no integrity and why I’ll be taking it to a real shop like Jiffy L**e where they actually understand repairs instead of upselling nonsense, if you believe this needs a full driveshaft you clearly don’t understand how cars work and you’re exactly the type of person dealerships prey on.

BMWs are objectively more reliable than Toyotas and I’m tired of people pretending otherwise, Toyota is literally built for people who expect nothing out of a car except that it turns on and that’s why they last forever because they’re underpowered, overbuilt appliances with zero innovation meanwhile BMW actually engineers their cars to be driven hard by people with taste and intelligence which is why they have more technology, more performance, and more complexity, and yes complexity means ADVANCED not unreliable, Toyotas are for brokies who brag about 300k miles because that’s all they have going for them while BMW owners are enjoying aluminum suspension, precision handling, turbocharged efficiency, and interiors that don’t look like a rental car from 2009, if BMWs were unreliable they wouldn’t be used by enthusiasts, track drivers, and people who actually understand maintenance, Toyotas only “last” because their owners are scared of horsepower and never push the car past half throttle, BMW problems only happen when people neglect them which says more about the owner than the car, if you think Toyota is better it’s because you can’t afford maintenance and that’s fine just say that, reliability isn’t about being cheap it’s about being engineered correctly and BMW clears Toyota in every category that actually matters

So I just bought this brand new Tundra and barely jumped it like it’s literally designed for off road use and now the shock is bent and the dealership is refusing warranty which makes absolutely no sense because they were the last ones to service it so clearly they damaged it during the inspection and are now trying to blame me which is malpractice and negligence and I will be suing because Toyota advertises durability and nowhere did it say the suspension can’t handle a small jump and if it bends that easily that’s a factory defect not abuse
