Dealership sent me this and said my front timing cover is leaking. Is it actually leaking? It looks too fresh like if someone sprayed oil onto it to make it look like it’s leaking. Plus they want me to pay $4400 in labor to fix it. These sleezy scumbags of an excuse of a mechanics are trying to do whatever it takes to make their hours now it’s ridiculous. I’m going to brake clean the “oil leak” myself and if it doesn’t come back then I will be asking for a free new car or will be getting my lawyer involved for fraud and deception

Expert L**e tech here is there anyway to get this stuck bolt out? I'm thinking about just throwing the socket away and just buying another one from Snap On unless they will still warranty it if I use a saw zaw and cut the socket out where it's stuck on the bolt, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know

Master L**e Tech here I’m arguing with my shop foreman because he’s saying there’s too much oil in this car I just did and I told him that he’s just an old boomer that should go sit at his computer and let a real Mechanic work in peace but he’s saying I have to drain out some of the oil but why on the world would I do that it’s an old car it’s going to burn the oil anyways I don’t get paid to do an oil change twice cause I’m hourly so I told him if he wants it drained so badly he can stop being a lazy shop foreman and actually do his job for once instead of hiding in customer cars acting like he’s figuring out their rattle I can’t wait to take his shop foreman job and fire him or let him work as a beginner l**e tech

Doing an oil change and I drained the oil already but now I can't get my oil filter off because the jack is on it and I don't have a jack stand to keep the vehicle up to take the jack off of it. Is there any other way I can get this oil filter off with the jack resting on the oil filter?
