Poor idle, poor performance, increased fuel consumption and engine knocking/misfire can all be a result of dirty/clogged. Make sure you use 93 premium gas and add a bottle of gas treatment once a month.

Parts usually breakdown right after comprehensive warranty expires. I really dislike how BMW now use an electric water pump and power steering pump in order to save gas on miles per gallon to attract buyers and help their dealers earn more money in huge repair bills. The average cost on a water pump bill for a bimmer is about $800 parts and labor. . Thats the price you pay for german.
