What’s New - If you’re going to lift your truck, then go big. And if you have a 2019-2026 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel 4WD with the leaf spring rear suspension, then you go big with this 8-inch lift kit by McGaughys. It’ll give you the height you need and you’ll be able to clear 38s, no sweat. Seems like the right setup to us.
What We Use - Let’s say you’ve got a 1963-1966 fullsize pickup, and it’s got the factory leaf springs. If you want to lower the rear end, you’re gonna need a flip kit, and fortunately for you, we’ve got one. This is our new setup, and it’ll take the rear end down six inches—a more than respectable amount for sure. And if you need a set for your truck, you know where to go.

What We Use - There aren’t many companies out there that make 6/8 drop kits, much less for the C20/C30 crowd, but we do. And boy do we love using this thing. It’s got your coils, spindles, and a big ol’ flip kit, and it fits everything from a 10-bolt to 14-bolt rear end as well as all the other variations. It’s a great setup, and we love using them. You will, too
Now Playing - A lot of folks in the C10/custom truck scene came from the world of Volkswagens, and we’ve got quite a few bug fans here at the shop. What’s New - We may not be political scientists or economists over here, but we do live in the world, so we know prices are going up and it doesn’t make us happy. Know who else is ticked off? Belltech. So they’re now reducing the prices on their 6”-9” lift kits. How much varies by the kit, but we’re always cool with a big manufacturer wanting to help the rest of us out by lowering their prices. What We Use - We make a lot of cool stuff here at the shop, including these 8-piece notches. See, if you want to get the rear end of your 1963-1972 C10 lower, you need to clear up some room for the axle to travel. And that stock frame had a little jog in it, so cutting up some square tubing ain’t gonna cut it (unless you’re really good at miters and math). This fixes all those problems, including your C10’s altitude issue. So get yours today, and maybe pick up some other stuff, too.
Now Playing - Ah, the GM LS3. Quite the beast that one, and we love not only putting them into trucks but making them run their best. It’s why when we get a project like this 1970 C-10, we want nothing more than to lay some fat wide rubber stripes down on the pavement. And guess what? We do just that.
