🚨 NH VEHICLE INSPECTIONS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE 🚨

News for New Hampshire drivers: Following a federal court injunction and a contract deadlock with the state’s vendor, the vehicle inspection program is officially on hold as of January 27, 2026.

What you need to know:

No Stickers Required: You are currently NOT required to obtain an annual state inspection.

Stations Halted: Inspection stations are no longer authorized to issue stickers at this time.

Safety Still Matters: You are still legally responsible for ensuring your car is safe to drive under RSA 266. Police can still cite you for equipment violations (like bald tires or broken lights).

Stay Tuned: This is a developing legal situation. The State is appealing the decision, and rules could change quickly.

Pro-Tip: Don’t toss your maintenance schedule just yet! Keeping your brakes and tires in check is still your responsibility, sticker or no sticker. 🛠️
