"Direct fit" replacement part modification to actually be a direct fit part. I would maybe expect some type of shenanigans like this from a lower priced import manufactured replacement part but this piece is not that. The most expensive replacement option other than OE and comes with a sticker that states proudly made in the USA, LOL

Today's "direct replacement" will fit part. Do they actually install the part they make on a vehicle to verify it fits like the original? This double ended stud is supposed to thread in to the rear fl**ge for the y-pipe to mid pipe joint.

Honda 3.5 V6 oil usage/piston ring issue. This is what happens if you keep driving after noticing slight oil usage along with a random misfire or check engine light being activated for misfire DTC's on on cylinder 1, 2 or 3. If left alone eventually the spark plug porcelain overheats from ash buildup as a result of the oil burning, the porcelain cracks and breaks off in the cylinder. That porcelain gets caught between the piston and cylinder wall after it falls off the spark plug center electrode. Now this porcelain is harder than the steel cylinder liner and cuts vertical grooves in the liner/ cylinder wall surface. Once that happens and you end up with a dead miss on that cylinder there is no easy fix. This issue is usually with bank 1

You always find some shenanigans when taking apart vehicles that have been on the road for a while. This truck had an aftermarket exhaust manifold installed on the passengers side when we took it apart. Yep there's still some old bolt down in there.

Set of HEMI heads reconditioned and ready to go back on. Disassembled, cleaned, new valve guides, multi angle valve seats, valves reconditioned, resurfaced, new valve stem seals and assembled. When we do these type of repairs we also recondition the exhaust manifolds by shot blasting, resurfacing and applying a coating to help with rust control.

5.7 HEMI short block clean up and inspection after lifter failure. The amount of time that goes into not only disassembling something like this to do the repair but the cleaning, inspection for any possible damage that may have been done as a result of the failure that requires attention to guarantee the repair along with the prep work before assembly is something most people don't fully grasp on this type of work.

HEMI roller lifter failures, everyone is quick to blame the MDS setup on these engines as the cause. Here is a non MDS lifter that the roller has failed and what i see is about 3-1 on issues with non MDS to MDS lifters taking these apart for repair. Have seen this failure on non MDS equipped engines as well. There is more related to the story than the MDS, these are a different animal than the GM LS DOD/AFM setup.
