Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to lead our automotive service team. In this dynamic role, you will oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. As a key leader in our service department, you will coordinate repair operations, mentor technicians, and uphold excellent customer service. Your expertise in automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and mechanical repair will drive our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the service technician team to ensure timely and accurate vehicle repairs and maintenance
Diagnose complex automotive engine systems using advanced diagnostic tools and electrical diagnostics
Oversee repairs on mechanical systems including brakes, suspension, powertrains, and all-terrain vehicles
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for various mechanical repairs and assembly tasks
Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and building trust with clients
Maintain detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, parts used, and service history for each vehicle
Support the training and development of technicians to enhance their skills in automotive diagnostics and powersports engine repair
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding, or other potentially hazardous activities
Requirements
Proven diesel experience with a strong background in automotive repair and service management
Extensive experience as a service technician with expertise in automotive engine system repair and diagnostics
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for electrical diagnostics and automotive troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with mechanical knowledge across various vehicle types including motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles
Skilled in brake repair, suspension work, welding, soldering, assembly, and power tool operation
Ability to perform basic vehicle troubleshooting efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing manual repairs as required by the role
