Figured while I had some time I figured that I would check in and give everyone an update. Today is day number 18 in the hospital, the first day or two were mostly a blur.

The staff and treatment here has been over and above! The support I have received from friends, family, employees and members of the racing community ( many who I barely know or met) has really been overwhelming and I can't thank you all enough, please keep it coming as it helped!!

I am medically stable, surgeries completed and we are on a wait and see plan on my feet, especially my right foot. These injuries are very tough, but I'm tougher! 😂 On top of all of the injuries, I contracted a CDiff in in the ICU, it is a very nasty intestinal bacterial deal. Being bed ridden with this for 13 days and counting, seems to slowly be getting better.

The worst part is the lack of mobility, I have been in the same bed since leaving icu , staring at the same wall. The support keeps you sane .

Currently my main issue is being able to tolerate time sittting up. It puts such immense pressure on pelvis and or L1 vertabrae. I can get about 10 minutes before laying back down. We are working on building that tolerance, but I think the tolerance will build with healing. We have come a long way in two weeks and hope to be even further in the next few weeks. The ribs , collar bone and for the most part the sternum are manageable, the feet don't really hurt, they are just very heavy and cumbersome. Danny Steynen approved for in patient rehab here at the hospital which was very challenging as I am non weight bearing and with the CDiff. I should move there this weekend or Monday. So I will be joing Danny Steyn there and maybe we might get that wheel chair race in before he leaves😉😂

I expect to be there about two weeks and hopefully should leave there being able sit up and get in and out of wheel chair on my own.. then hopefully home to do some light therapy until I can weight bare on my legs. Then the real rehab and therapy will start.

Another exciting day in Memphis. Looks like about 6-8 of Memphis finest citizens decided to break in to the train cars behind our business. They were stealing flat screen tvs.. The police noticed something was fishy when there was a line of cars waiting and loading tvs🤷 The police arrived and they all ran and drive off. 6-8 of the thieves scaled my fence, ran threw our building and into the salvage yard trying to hide from the police who were hot on their tails!

The best part was the canine officer, that dog found all that weren't caught and chewed on one of the dirt bags for awhile. ( not long enough)

All in all we had 20-25 police, fire truck, ambulance and a helicopter in the air at the salvage yard

Thanks to the Memphis police for rounding up the trash! I'm sure the court system will just let them go so we can do this all again in a few weeks 😢😤

compensation: 17.50 hr to start plus commission
employment type: full-time
job title: auto dismantler/ parts puller

We are progressive auto dismantling yard. We are need of two employees. I need one employee for our dismantling room.
This job will require someone skilled in pulling engines and transmissions. You will disassemble the cars, inspect the parts, tag the parts and put them on the shelves. You will be expected to strip 5-10 cars a week.

The second position is is for a parts puller and packaging. You will need to be able to pull various parts from the car, clean them, tag them and either bring up to be delivered or packaged to ship out on UPS. Both positions require experience and complete set of your own tools. Room for advancement

Starting pay either position is $17.50 hr After 45 day training period you will be paid per car and should be able to make upwards of 800-1200 a week all depending how many cars you can process.
Dismantler will be paid by the car after 30 day training period, unlimited income potential.
If you have no experience or tools, can't get to work on time every day, there is no need to apply.
