We are back! We took a break while focusing on growing our family. During this time, I put all my attention into our IVF journey, and Mitchell’s energy went back into work. We wish we could have continued putting the same time and effort into our camper projects, but it was necessary for us to put family first…And we are so glad we did! We are beyond happy and proud to share the arrival of Colette’s little sister (Violet Hope) back in November of last year. Now that we have figured out our “new” normal, what little free time we have is spent on camper renovations. I will post some updates soon!

Our story begins and ends with our beautiful daughter, Colette. Our sweet, little, baby girl was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive mitochondrial disease in 2021. Unfortunately…with no cure available, Colette passed away at 13 months old and our lives would never be the same. My husband and I struggled to find any happiness or meaning in life again. Everything quickly became a trigger or a cruel reminder of Colette no longer being by our side. A change in careers was necessary, so starting our own business flipping campers was the most natural transition for us both. We also knew we wanted to include Colette in all our future endeavors. Hap-BEE Campers, LLC logo honors Colette by including her spirit animal, the bumblebee, along with the color green for mitochondrial disease awareness. Our hope is for Colette’s memory to live on through the camper renovations we complete, then hopefully we will continue to feel her presence in all we do.
