🚗 Are You Following Too Closely?

Here's an easy way to find out.

Virginia DMV recommends leaving at least four seconds between you and the vehicle ahead.

Pick a road sign or another fixed object. When the vehicle ahead passes it, start counting.

If you reach the same spot before four seconds have passed, back off and give yourself more room.

And in rain, fog, darkness or other difficult conditions?

Leave even more space.

🚗 Parents: Can Your Teen Take Driver Education Online in Virginia?

Yes — but there is something important to understand before enrolling.

Virginia allows teens to complete the 30-hour classroom portion of Driver Education online, but the final classroom exam must still be taken in person at the school’s approved testing location.

🎉🚗 Big congratulations to a Broadwater Viking and a Nandua Warrior on earning their driver’s licenses!
