I get a lot of people asking about lining up a GM flex plate bolt hole to the torque converter tabs. This is the hole you have to look for so all the bolts line up correctly. This is the alignment hole. This hole allows you to tighten each bolt in turn. Just put the first bolt in this hole and torque it down. Then all the other bolts line up with their respective holes perfectly. NOTE: make sure the TC is seated against the flex plate before tighting down this bolt so the nose of the TC doesn't get bind up in the crankshaft pilot hole.
