Auto body technician
Community Chevrolet is a high volume, established Auto Body Shop and is in search of an experienced Auto Body Tech.
We offer competitive hourly commission rates based on experience.
Must be motivated, dependable, and a team player.
This is a commission position with guaranteed clock time.
We have a consistent work flow.
We also offer continuing education classes.
Must have own tools and transportation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy Communicate with body shop office to obtain the required parts & labor
Examine the vehicle to determine if additional damage work might be required Perform all body and fender repairs according to estimate
Perform welding, Uni-body alignment, frame, and collision pulls
Assessing and analyzing the damaged areas to prep for painting
Establish a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures when performing insurance warranty work
Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner
Operate all equipment in Collision Center in a safe manner
Documents all work performed as soon as the job is completed
Uses basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing chemicals
Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes
Adjusted pay for current ICAR certification

Job Qualification Requirements
- Work knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles
- Ability to comprehend and read instructions
- Must have a valid driver’s license - Ability to operate an automobile
- Self-motivated; work independently with little or no supervision
- Must have at least 3 years work experience
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm; some Saturday’s depending on work load
- R & I experience a plus
