We are sad to announce the loss of a friend and customer. Max recently got his license and got a BMW that was his cherished possession. It was currently not running and in need of some work but he loved the car. My son along with some of his other friends have expressed a desire to get the car fixed up. They have set up a go fund me to raise money, and we here at Sun Mountain will be glad to donate labor and space to get this done. We will be working with anyone who wants to get some hands on wrenching in and help get the car running again and in good shape. Anything helps, if you cannot donate money and want to donate time reach out and we will see what we can work out. Thanks for all the help. This is why we talk so much about doing maintenance. A timing belt is due for replacement every 60,000-100,000 miles depending on manufacturer. This vehicle, a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan has 217,000 miles on it. From what I can tell this is the original belt. The belt I think was ok until tye tensioner pulley bearing failed. We do all the pullies as well as the water pump and the tensioner assembly at the same time when we get into these. This is also designated as an interference engine, meaning there is no clearance between the pistons and valves. This did have marks on 2 pistons and 4 exhaust valves, so we did a compression test once the new belt was in place. Finding less than 15% difference between all 6 cylinders we pit it all back together and the vehicle runs great. This customer go very lucky.

Good info, and I talk with a lot of customers about this. There is not a vehicle out there that I personally would go over 7000 miles on an oil change on. And that is regardless of what oil you use. Another happy Toyota Customer. We installed a lift on this to make room for some bigger tires for some off road shenanigans. This is in my opinion the way these Sequoias should have come from the factory. If you have a Sequoia or any Toyota and want this look and functionality give us a call or shoot us a message, we can help you out. On this one we did OME in the rear and Freedom Offroad up front, but we can get pretty much anything you want.

Doing valve cover gaskets on this beautiful Maserati GranTurismo Sport Convertible today. Not much to see with the covers on it, but it is such a beautiful car, Pininfarina sure designs some amazing stuff!!
