We work for every person who drives a vehicle in Warren and surrounding counties. Our number one goal is to clear roadways as professionally and efficiently as possible. It is our belief that doing our job as promptly as possible will support our local fire departments, first responders, EMS and law enforcement officers hopefully keeping them safer on the job by shortening the time they are on sce

ne of crashes and stranded motorists. Our second goal is to provide superior service to all motorists while protecting their property and privacy. In the event you or your family request Lassiters or we are the on-call service. Our drivers will do their best to remove your vehicle from the roadway without adding to the damage it has already incurred. Our customers’ privacy is of paramount importance to us. For that reason, all impounds, and crashes are stored inside our secure, monitored & locked storage lot. When available severe crashes are hidden from view through the fence or tarped so as not to allow photos of customers vehicles/ personal property. For the security and safety of our customers only the registered owners and approved persons accompanying them may gain access to vehicles inside the impound lot. All persons wishing to gain access to the lot must appear at our office located at 2398 Smithville Hwy. Monday thru Friday 9 am - 4 pm and call us at (931) 668-4647 a staff member will come to your vehicle make copies of your photo ID and get you to sign in. Then a storage lot supervisor will accompany you to your vehicle inside the impound lot and assist you in securing your personal property. A little on how we operate, our professional staff submits to pre-employment and random drug testing. We cannot and will not hire anyone persons with felony convictions or any pending charges in the court system. Each staff member has mandatory annual TBI background checks and driving report verifications. Our entire staff is required to do several hours of continuing education annually. Our drivers are all TIMS certified with the Tennessee Highway Patrol and implement the State of Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Towing Standards. Our company meets and exceeds all state requirements of insurance. Our fleet of professional recovery equipment has current DOT registration, Intrastate permits and Federal Motor Carrier number. Lassiters has been in the towing business since 1967. Lassiters Inc is a licensed cooperation with several members of the Lassiter family serving on the board of directors. Our goal is to maintain a superior level of customer service and integrity in the towing industry. We appreciate our community allowing us to serve you since 1967. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS! Any persons wishing to retrieve personal property from vehicles towed to our facility. Must be the registered owner of that vehicle and have a photo Id or must have obtained written notarized consent from that owner to gain access to the vehicle. Any persons wishing to retrieve personal property or pick up a vehicle from storage at our facility must arrive at our office during normal business hours with photo ID to do so. Weekend appointments to pick up personal property or vehicles that have been towed to our facility must be made by Friday at 12 o’clock. Weekend pick up hours are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 8 AM. Anyone wishing to gain access to a towed vehicle at our facility must report to the office Monday through Friday 9 to 4. When you arrive at our office you need to call (931) 668-4647 AND REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE. DO NOT GO DOWN TO THE TOW IN LOT OR BEHIND OUR OFFICE UNACCOMPANIED! THIS PROPERTY IS POSTED AND ANY INDIVIDUALS CAUGHT TRESPASSING WILL BE PROSECUTED! EVERYONE THAT GAINS ACCESS TO THE LOT MUST FIRST REPORT TO THE OFFICE. ONLY THE REGISTERED OWNER AND ONE ADULT MAY GO TO THE LOT AND THEY BOTH MUST SIGN IN AND GIVE PHOTO ID AND BE ACCOMPANIED BY A COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE. NO CHILDREN ALLOWED ON THE LOT. EVERYTHING ON THIS PROPERTY, IN AND AROUND OUR TRUCKS IS VIDEO RECORDED. WE PROVIDE 24 HOUR EMERGENCY SERVICE! THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE IN THE OFFICE 24 HOURS A DAY! ALL NON EMERGENCY CALLS/ BUSINESS WILL BE HANDLED MONDAY – FRIDAY 9 AM- 4PM. IF YOU EXCESSIVELY CALL OR HARASS OUR STAFF. YOU WILL BE CHARGED A HARASSMENT FEE.

🚨 WELL… THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY. 🤔🚨

Apparently our last post about “just because you own a rollback doesn’t mean you’re operating legally” struck a nerve… because WOW did that thing travel, from people that completely agreed, nasty comments and even some inbox messages…

So, since we have everyone’s attention, here’s the follow-up:

The post was never about tearing down someone trying to make a living. It was about educating customers.

There’s a difference between owning equipment and operating a legitimate towing business.

When a company does things the right way, there are real expenses and responsibilities involved, FOR-HIRE registration on rollbacks, proper commercial insurance, equipment maintenance, business operation cost, accounting expenses, and accountability when something goes wrong.

We’re not telling anyone who they have to call.

We’re simply saying: ASK QUESTIONS.

If someone is charging you to transport your vehicle, make sure you know who you’re handing the keys to and whether they’re properly registered and insured for the work they’re doing.

And judging by the shares, comments and conversations the last post created…

Apparently this was a conversation that needed to happen. 👀

⚠️ JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A ROLLBACK OR WRECKER DOESN’T MEAN THEY’RE LEGAL. ⚠️

Facebook yard sale pages are full of “I got a guy” and “My buddy has a rollback.” But owning a rollback does not automatically make someone a legitimate towing company.

Before trusting someone with a vehicle worth thousands of dollars, ask questions:

👉 Do they have the proper FOR-HIRE registration/tags to haul vehicles for compensation?
👉 Do they carry proper commercial towing insurance?
👉 Is the business properly registered and operating legally?
👉 Is their equipment properly maintained and insured?
👉 If they damage your vehicle, who is paying for it?

There’s a big difference between owning a rollback and operating a legitimate towing business.

Legitimate towing companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars every year on commercial insurance, FOR-HIRE registration, equipment, maintenance, licensing and the other expenses required to operate professionally.

That $25 or $50 you saved using somebody from a Facebook yard sale page won’t seem like much when your vehicle is damaged and you discover they weren’t properly insured to begin with.

💡 Know who you’re handing your keys to.

Support the legitimate local businesses that invest in doing things the right way,not just the cheapest person in the Facebook comments with a rollback.
