Finally got around to repairing the rattle and free play in the steering on my ‘02 S10. The upper shaft joint was worn out. Replaced it with a double u-joint type and I had previously replaced the rag joint with one at the gear box. No more noise and slop in the steering, I also replaced the steering gear box with a closer ratio unit for quicker steering. It’s a 3:1 instead of closer to 4:1. Feels like a new truck and more like a sports car. Now I’ve rebuilt the engine with some power added, transmission with some mods to beef it up, rebuilt rear end, all new brake system, all new ac system, all new vacuum system for 4x4 and HVAC system, and a lot more. Next is some bodywork and paint in the future.

Want to give a big shout out to Matt Ebaugh by TMK fot the fantastic art work he did for me. I told him how I plan to build my ‘69 Barracuda Pro-Street car, sent a few pics and color and he did an awesome job of drawing what I envisioned. It’s the same make car I had in high school and one afterwards and the red color is in honor of my sister Denise, she loved red so much and she loved fast cars. She was Down’s syndrome and had so much love for everyone. Thank you so much Matt.

Finished the 4.3 rebuild for my S10 4x4. Port matched intake, heads and exhaust, 1.6 ratio roller tip rockers, flat top pistons, A-team performance distributor and ignition system, all new sensors, new spider injection, throttle body spacer, electric fan conversion and aluminum radiator, Thorton stage 3 tuning chip, 2 1/2” exhaust, dynomax muffler, converters deleted. Next step is ECM programmed.
Also transmission rebuilt with all heavy duty parts, all Kevlar clutches and new steels and band, pinnless piston kits, shift kit programmed for towing, reman torque converter, new u-joints. Forgot to take transmission pictures before I installed it. It’s painted red to match engine.
It runs pretty strong, definitely more power than before, but of course I haven’t ran it too hard yet till it’s broken in.

Chevy 4.3 v6 rebuild complete now time to install into my little truck. All new 350 engine flat top pistons and Hastings moly rings, for a little more compression, new bearings, new roller cam, lifters and bearings, valve job, heads shaved to bump up compression as well, port matched intake to heads and heads to exhaust, new performance complete distributor and ignition system, new water pump, hoses, new spider fuel injection system, new timing gears and chain, new balance shaft bearings and a bunch of other things I can’t remember. Should be good for another 300,000 miles. Next to paint the truck next year or so and it will be a restored 2002 Chevy S10 Crew cab 4x4. I’ve already rebuilt the front end, all brakes, calipers and rotors, rebuilt rear differential, gone through the transmission and transfer case and replaced drivers seat with a matching seat since the old one was worn out, the rear looks new. Hopefully I’ll have itrunning in a couple days.

Made a holster for my new iPhone. Old one was too small. The leather along with the phone case protects my phones very well especially working on cars, welding and such.

Some May remember the ‘77 Olds Cutlass Supreme I’ve been working on for a friend doing an LS engine and drive train swap. Now doing bodywork. The right door was crunched from someone backing up with door open. Pulled it out as much as possible, made patch panels and got it close but I mounted it back on car only to find out the door was twisted out at the rear bottom about 1 1/2”. Which I thought it was some but not that much. Nothing I tried worked, slamming door with a piece of wood at the top, pushing on ot and so on. So I made a tool to untwist the door. Worked great. See pics of the tool and it on the car and before and after pics. I forgot to take a pic before I used the tool of the lower edge and record it.

This crazy dog of mine, Bo, seems to be posing for pictures. He loves the new to use S10 crew cab truck I just bought and been doing some repairs and services on. He loves to lay in the back seat and sleep. He even stays in it sleeping when I raise it up on the lift. Then sometimes he wants in the bed and he’ll climb on top the cab if you don’t watch him. 🤣🤣 .com

Thank you everyone for the likes and follows. We’ll post things we do in the shop as we can. Both my oldest son and myself are disabled due to injuries so we’re not able to do things in the shop everyday. But we do have projects we work on and will be sharing the progress and even hassles we encounter along the way. We keep pushing ourselves and for me relearning, due to severe brain injury, and my son is a quadriplegic due to braking his neck while serving in the Navy. He does quite a bit despite his injury, I’m very proud of him. So hopefully we can keep you entertained and informed. Our purpose is to show that we don’t have to nor should we give up just because we have a disability. God bless you and God bless America.
